Community Guidelines
Be entertaining. Don’t be the problem.
Swearing, friendly roasting, criticism, satire, memes, and dumb jokes are allowed. Context matters. If the joke depends on humiliating, threatening, targeting, or exposing someone, it is not just a joke on Orbit.
What belongs here
- Original videos, edits, animation, commentary, gaming, music, art, school projects, experiments, and works in progress.
- Good-faith criticism and disagreement, including strong opinions.
- Inside jokes and friendly roasting when everyone involved is actually in on it.
- Age-appropriate educational discussion of difficult subjects when it is not graphic or exploitative.
What does not belong here
No bullying, dogpiling, stalking, credible threats, slurs used to attack people, or hateful abuse based on identity.
No addresses, phone numbers, passwords, schedules, private messages, intimate material, or recordings from private or embarrassing situations without permission.
No pornography, sexualized content, grooming, sexual solicitation, or exploitation. Sexual content involving anyone under 18 is prohibited and may be reported to the proper authorities.
No graphic gore, glorification of real-world violence, encouragement of self-harm, dangerous challenges, or instructions intended to seriously hurt people.
No spam, impersonation, phishing, malware, fake engagement, ban evasion, or attempts to interfere with Orbit’s servers and security.
No content you lack permission to upload, illegal sales, or content that facilitates serious wrongdoing.
How moderation works
New videos are processed privately and reviewed by a human before publication. Comments and other activity can be reported with Orbit’s red flag. Depending on context and severity, Orbit may reject or remove content, issue a warning, restrict creator access, suspend an account, preserve evidence, or contact appropriate services or authorities. Repeated false reporting can also lead to action.
Terms of Service
The actual agreement
These Terms govern access to Orbit. By creating an account or continuing to use Orbit, you agree to them and to the Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy. Orbit is an independently operated beta based in California, not a finished commercial service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Orbit. If you are not old enough to enter agreements by yourself where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has permitted you to use Orbit and agreed to these Terms for you.
Your account
Use accurate account information, protect your password, and do not share or sell access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Contact Orbit promptly if you believe the account has been compromised.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you create. When you upload content, you give Orbit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transcode, create thumbnails from, display, stream, and distribute it only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Orbit service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup, legal, safety, and enforcement retention.
Rules and moderation
You may not use Orbit in ways prohibited by the Community Guidelines, violate another person’s rights, break applicable law, evade safety controls, scrape private data, overload the service, or attempt unauthorized access. Orbit may review, reject, remove, preserve, or restrict content and accounts. Human review reduces risk but does not guarantee that every published item is safe, lawful, accurate, or appropriate.
The beta
Orbit may change, pause, lose features, or experience downtime. Do not treat Orbit as the only copy of an important video. To the extent allowed by law, the beta is provided “as is” without promises that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Ending use
You may stop using Orbit at any time and request account deletion. Orbit may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service. Appeals may be submitted through the contact method below.
Changes
Orbit may update these Terms as the beta changes. Material updates will receive a new version date and may require renewed acceptance. Continued use after notice of an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Privacy Policy
What Orbit knows—and why
Orbit collects only the information currently needed to run and protect the beta. Orbit does not currently sell personal information or use behavioral advertising.
Information collected
- Account information: email address, username, channel information, email-verification status, and a securely hashed password.
- Your activity: videos, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, comments, reactions, subscriptions, creator-code redemption, reports, and moderation history.
- Technical information: session cookies, IP address, browser and device details, request times, error logs, and security events generated when you use Orbit.
- Messages: details you submit in reports, appeals, account requests, or support communications.
How it is used
Orbit uses this information to create and secure accounts, deliver email, process and play videos, personalize subscriptions, count activity, enforce rules, investigate reports, prevent abuse, debug failures, and improve the platform.
When it is shared
Public profile details and published activity are visible to other users. Information may also be handled by infrastructure and email providers working for Orbit, or disclosed when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or protecting someone’s rights. Orbit does not promise that public uploads or comments will remain private.
Cookies and retention
Orbit uses an essential session cookie to keep accounts signed in and secure. Account, content, moderation, and technical records are kept as long as reasonably needed to run the beta, resolve disputes, prevent repeat abuse, maintain backups, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods will become more specific as Orbit’s systems mature.
Your choices
You can change your email or password and revoke signed-in sessions from Account Settings. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information through the contact method below. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, or resolving abuse.
Users under 13
Orbit is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly allow them to create accounts. If Orbit learns that an account belongs to someone under 13, it may remove the account and associated information. A parent or guardian can contact Orbit about an account they believe belongs to a child under 13.
Security
Orbit uses password hashing, HTTPS, private source storage, access controls, rate limits, and server protections. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so users should use a unique password and report suspected compromise quickly.
Copyright
Post yours. Credit is not permission.
Only upload content you created, licensed, or are otherwise legally allowed to share. Giving credit, using a short clip, or finding something online does not automatically give permission. Fair use can apply in some situations, but it depends on context and is not guaranteed by adding commentary or a disclaimer.
Reporting infringement
For an ordinary concern, sign in and use the red report flag on the video. A formal copyright notice should identify the protected work, identify the Orbit video and its URL, provide the reporting party’s contact information, include a good-faith statement and an accuracy/authority statement, and contain a physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
Orbit may request more information, disable the content while reviewing the notice, notify the uploader, and remove material when appropriate. Uploaders may submit a valid counter-notice when they believe content was removed through mistake or misidentification. Repeat infringement may result in loss of creator access or account termination.
Before wider promotion: Orbit’s formal copyright inbox and any applicable U.S. Copyright Office designated-agent registration must be activated. The in-product report system remains available now.

Use the red flag beside a video or comment for content reports. Account recovery and verification tools are available from Account Settings. Dedicated safety@orbitwhatever.com and copyright@orbitwhatever.com inboxes are reserved for launch and must be connected before broad public promotion.
If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted adult. Orbit’s reporting queue is not an emergency service.
